In the dunes of Voorne once stood typical dune farms, which were part of the beautiful landscape. The Historical Society of Western Voorne saved three dune cottages from destruction and moved them to the open-air museum "The Dune Houses" in Rockanje.
Here they were united with the existing dune house "Duinstraat" and restored in the original style.

"In the half moon" is the smallest museum in the Voorne-Putten area of South Holland. There is much to see; things like old grocery bags, containers, tobacco, hats and clothing. The collection is housed in an old grocery store and has a cafe, patio, plus an old-fashioned old-dutch candy store! They also have a "crazy garden" to visit, with all kinds of silly jokes.
